Send Message

The Send Message component delivers a basic text response message to the participating user, for example:

  1. The user texts the keyword WATERFALL to the short code 67463.

  2. The campaign responds: Waterfall is part of the Upland Mobile Messaging product family that delivers outstanding customer experiences in the moments that matter. Visit https://uplandsoftware.com/mobile-messaging to learn more.

Note: Typically, the subscription feature will be turned on, so subscribers will be added to a subscription list upon texting in to the campaign.

To add the Send Message component from the campaign page:

  1. Select Add Component.

  2. Select Send Message from the dropdown list, and then select OK.

  3. If components have already been added to the campaign, select the placement of the new component in the list on the right.

    The component is added to the list.

  4. Note: To rearrange the order in which messages are sent by your campaign, select a component and drag it to a new position in the list.

  5. Select the component name to open the form:

  6. Enter the Response message, which is sent to campaign subscribers.

    To add a message, select SMS (plain text message), MMS (multimedia message, including images, videos and audio), RCS for each message, and then enter your message in the text box. For information on RCS messaging, see Using Rich Communication Services (RCS) messaging in Waterfall.

    Note: MMS messaging is available in the United States and Canada only.

  7. To accept user responses, select the Allow reply back checkbox.

  8. When you are done, select Save Campaign.

  9. You can continue adding components or return to the Campaign table:

    • To continue adding components, see Adding components.

    • To return to the Campaigns table, select Campaigns from the Campaigns menu.
